I have an Odyssey 2004. Around January this year, I noticed that it's having a hard time starting. So I bought a new battery in CostCo. CCA is 640. After few weeks/months(I couldn't remember), the van would just alarm by itself. It would beep with the same interval as how seconds work. Also, when I lock it using remote control, it wouldn't beep anymore even if I press the lock many times.

I was told in Odyclub forum to remove the negative wire from the battery and wait until 15 mins before returning it back. They also told me to make sure not to bounce the wire to prevent arcing. Looks like it fixed it since it honks now when I lock it. The random alarming went away as well.

Then our family went out on vacation for 2 weeks(May 25-June 8). I left my van in a paid parking open area. I came back alone, I never had any issue starting it. Before heading straight home, I dropped by Chipotle and Home Depot to grab a food/visit the outdoor garden area. After 5 minutes, I heard a car was alarming. I went out and guess what. It was my Odyssey 2004. LOL. Same thing happened when I was buying my food at Chipotle.

Oh, here is another thing. If I press unlock many times, it will eventually lock itself automatically after few minutes. Times are very random. It would alarm too. LOL. However, if I press the unlock button from my remote only once, it will stay unlock.

I've been using my Civic to go to work. I remembered last night that my Ody was experiencing some issues. I had to fix it since I'll be picking up my family tomorrow from the airport. So I did the same thing what the guys at Odyclub told me. Around 7am when I woke up, my car was alarming in the garage. I have no idea how long it has been alarming since I was sleeping.

So guys, what should I do with this? How can I fix it? Please help. It's making me crazy.

Thanks in advance! :)

wouldn't hurt to have your battery load tested. AutoZone can do it for you for free. Costco should do it also, since you bought it there.

If battery checks out OK, you'll need a shop to check out the modules that control the alarm and door locks. If it keeps doing that it will ruin your batteries.
