Nebie here.

I have a 2007 Odyssey and this week the passenger side seatbelt is no longer working. It retracts OK but it will only pull out about 6 inches before the locking mechanism engages. I've tried everything, pulling it slowly, quickly, etc.

Has anyone ever come accross this before. any thoughts.

you can take it in to the dealer for service. seat belts are warrenty'ed for life. If the seat belt you're having problem with is used frequently or was used frequently, I'd get it serviced asap before anything happens.
