Dear Honda: My wife mentioned this on one of the phone surveys, but I'll repeat it here regarding our 2005 Odyssey... The little change box that the 1st & 2nd generation Odys had to the left of the steering wheel. There isn't anything comparable on the 3rd gen. Even my Ridgeline has a coin holder & the Accords have that small compartment under the center armrest. One of the back cup holders on the folding console (which never gets folded anyway) on ours is full of change, which rattles!

I agree about the change holder. I don't like the fold up table so we went with a console from Wal Mart. Can't think of the brand name right now, but it fits perfectly between the seats. It has 4 cup holders, a locking console box as well as a power adaptor should you want to plug the phone in.

It's a nice fit, but couldn't find one in tan (out of stock). And it does 'slide' and rock just a little bit. I've been too lazy to correct the problem but then again, my wife drives it more than I do.

I use the little box in front of the slide out cup holder for change.

My wife gets so mad at me for my half finished projects, she would kill me if I installed a console in her van and did not fully secure it. She would probably say it would be unsafe in an accident, my response would be avoid accidents. She would kill me anyways, so I might as well earn it.

Our '07 Touring has a change holder. It is located within the slide out cup holders under the climate control center and above the DVD player. There is a separate compartment with a lid that requires you to push a small grey tab to open it. It works very well and you can not hear the change rattling around. I was worried about the sound at first since the compartment is not lined with any sound absorbing material. I suppose when it is behind two "doors" within the cup holders you don't need sound absorbtion.

I wonder if it exists on the '06 Touring? I will have to look. I am still discovering features on what I call the "Bat Van". I am pretty sure, although I haven't tried it yet, if you hold down the VSA button and the Rear Power button and then sequentially turn on the foglights, turn off the XM, and hit the hatch open button, the whole vehicle will transform into a hovercraft. :D

Hi, I have a 07 with NAV and DVD. One thing you give up with that config is the center catch all tray. My wife almost regrets getting this model because she used the similar one on our 99 so much that she really misses it on the 07 van.

She would absolutely love to trade the center pull out cup holders for a storage drawer. Parts drawings for the dash show a drawer as an option, (can also be configured as an ash tray w/cig lighter) but several dealership parts departments that I’ve checked with also have the drawing, but have said that the part was either never made or isn’t available in the US.

Anyone with an ingenious solution to replacing the pull out cup holders with a drawer?

Thanks!

Current family vehicles:

Mine: 2007 Ridgeline RTX
Hers: 2005 Odyssey EX
Offsprings: 2006 Accord Coupé EX-L

This is our 6th Accord, our 4th Odyssey & of course our 1st Ridgeline!

I use the coin holder in the slide-out cup holder. Since the console cup holders are virtually useless, we use the slide-out for real-world cups and bottles. How Honda came up with the size of the console cup holders I can't imagine - perhaps they use baby-sized bottles in Japan,[/end cup rant]

Has anyone else noticed the slide out drawer UNDER the DVD player (practically on the floor)? Maybe that's what everyone is talking about?? It was hard to find at first, kinda stumbled on it. There is a small latch at the leading edge that needs to be engaged to open AND to close. That is where we keep our change... her change actually. That is where I GET change for the car wash.

BTW, Kudos to all drivers out there of both the Odyssey and the RidgeLine:D

How does the intermittent wiper work in automatic setting?
