We have an '05 Odyssey EX-L and recently some of the dash lights (backlights that illuminate the switches) quit working. The lights in question are affiliated with the heating/cooling controls. On the EX-L model the heating/cooling module switches are divided into two rows, upper and lower. The only backlights working are in the lower row (except for the right 1/3 of the row). In other words, none of the lights are working in the upper row, and in the bottom row the A/C, fan up/down, and mode buttons. My first impression was that a fuse was blown, but after looking in the owners manual and checking the appropriate fuse (which was good), I'm not sure where to go from here. Anybody got any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I believe that the '05+ Ody's use LED's to light stuff up not light bulbs like in the older Ody's. From what you're saying, I'd say a connection point failed and took out a level of lighting.

I no longer have my '07 Ody so I can't go tinker around but if it's LED's, find the failure point and hopefully you can just solder a fix but if not, I'd look for used replacement at an auto wrecker or eBay.

On the off chance that it's a bulb, Honda should have a replacement as could Radio Shack.

The reason I say that it's LED's is because I did take apart my dash cluster in my '07 to change the "bulbs" to a different color if possible but found LED's instead. So from this, I'm presuming the rest of the Ody is LED's.
