Question for anyone?
Have a 02 Od with 82,777 miles on it. Have had a noise in the front end like a(popping sound). Had the front struts replaced with new ones, still noise? A very reputable garage did this. Honda was too!! Expensive
The noise is worse and it occurs when making a hard left or big circle type turn. Something like turning left in a cul-de-sac type turn.
I took the care back to the garage and they said shock/struts fine, even replace the new right on thinking it was defective. They also replaced the mounting plates on both. The noise comes and goes, they heard it to. Still could not find it. They took it to a tire garage put it up on a lift and nothing was found.
Took it today to Honda dealer and they checked the CV joints, boots, ball joints and sway bars. Honda could not find it either, and they heard it. They said maybe with 82k + miles that maybe the sway bars are wearing, but they could not tighten them any. Does any one have any ideas this is really getting to be a loud noise, and the van is still in excellent shape. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Honda ody in Canton, Ohio:
