For whatever it's worth, I used the new Meguiars NXT car polish (liquid) on the '05 Odyssey the other day and it not only produced a very shiny finish, but was relatively easy to apply and remove.

Did you use elbow grease or a buffer/polisher?

elbow grease :D

The only way to go!
Meguiars makes some great products. Now I have to wax the van, and it is cold outside!
Once you wax an Odyssey by hand, you will never call it a "MINI" van again. That is a lot of surface area!

Recently the detailing bug bit me big time, and I purchased the following from Meguiars:

G100 dual action polisher w/attachments, pads, etc.
mirror glaze (polish)
Deep Crystal paint cleaner
Ultimate Quick Detailer
NXT 2.0 Tech Wax

I can't wait for the weather to warm a bit so I can try out all of my new toys. It's gonna probably be a while because we are in the middle of winter, but I will post pics when I get her done, however I will have to do the RL first. After all, the Odyssey is the wife's vehicle. :D

I tried quite a few waxes and polishes and I was a huge fan of Meguiar's however I tried one called "Black Majic" and it is one of the best on the today's market, it doesn't matter what's your color this stuff glitters the only thing you have to do is to apply it on a small area at a time and and then rub off.

I've used this product on both my vans which I wax about every 6 mos. It's easy to apply and water beads for about 4-6 months depending upon the condition of the vehicle's finish and exposure to the elements. I've used Meguiars liquid cleaner-wax on older vehicles in the past and it performed well also.

I saw a beautiful car at a classic car rally and I asked the owner what he used on his car to keep the shine. He told me after waxing once a year, he washes the car every week and then puts Lemon Pledge on a towel and then rubs it onto the finish and then wipes it off with another clean towel. This is a quick and efficient way to keep your car or van clean. It works!!

Lemon Pledge?!?! Uh, no thanks, lol. Meguair's is fantastic, always has been, I just did one of my cars with the "Deep Crystal" polish and wax a few weeks ago and it turned out awesome. BUT ... better yet is Zaino, expensive but anyone looking for A+++++++++ results that's the ultimate.
