My S/O needs snows for her 2006 Odyssey and I'd like to see if I can get some wheels at the local "auto recycle center". She currently has Bridgestone Turanza EL42TZ 235/65R16 103T M+S tires on factory steel wheels. I'm wondering what years Odyssey wheels would fit this particular unit. I'd prefer to have snows on their own wheels if the price is reasonable and I figure the wreckers would be about half the price that Honda would be asking.

The proper wheels woulbe be from an 2005-2006 Odyssey...but you can also use 2007-2009 wheels. Older model rims (1994-2004) will not work on your year.
Where abouts in ontario are you?

I'm in Guelph.
I was in a rush to get snow's on this vehicle. That's a laugh at this point in time because of the whole Quebec snow tire law and my lousy timing (big blizzard yesterday). The wreckers could only locate steel rims in pairs and they were scattered around the southern and western US. Plus they were about 100 bucks each. Even the local Honda dealer can't get them and they wanted the same price so I was no better off going to the wrecker's after all. Some guy on Craigslist has some for 80 bucks each but it would require a 2 or 3 hour round trip drive. I lucked out though. A local tire dealer had four in stock (made in China :( ) for 70 bucks each....they are now in my garage.
Now comes the second part, getting rubber for them. Everything as far as the eye can see has been sold (see above reference to Quebec and blizzard). I'm going to try and order some Blizzak DM-Z3's or Michelin Latitude X-Ice's in a 225/70-16 (instead of the stock 235/65-16). Same dealer can get them in at $175 each but will take a week or so.
Update;
Said dealer cannot get any winter tires for this vehicle till "next September"! I got a line on some Cooper Discoverer M+S (at the same price the above dealer said he could get the Blizzaks for) from an out of town dealer but have since located some Blizzaks and Winterforce UV tires on line. I bought the Winterforce UV's (at $136 per tire, the Blizzaks were $190) and they will be shipped to me soon...hopefully :)

You can use any 05-09 Odyssey rim as a replacement set. The biggest thing you need to keep in mind is that the bolt pattern size is a 5x120mm for the Generation 3 05-09 Odyssey. The previous Gen 2 Odyssey uses a 5x114mm pattern. There are also several other rim selections that are compatible for upgrading in 16", 17" and 18" sizes.
