After much searching, I got my hands on a pair of chains that were recommended by my Honda dealer. They put them on my front tires for me. We are having hazardous road conditions here in Seattle, compact snow and ice with patches of dry pavement. Here's the problem: I was unable to get up hills that were wet and bare pavement - - - just lots of spinning. I had to take the chains off, then was able to get up those hills just fine.

So, is the problem generic - chains plus bare wet pavement don't work? Or something unique to PAX? Something else?

Just so you know - I tried in 1st and 2nd gear, and also tried going slow. Didn't make a difference.
