I am an enthusiast who builds and owns cars and motorcycles. In my 30 years of doing so, I have come to admire the quality of engineering and quality of Honda products, until recently. Doing research on the 02 Acura CL and Odyssey I am appalled with the "Americanization" of the quality of the product . You have become the GM of the Orient and in doing so have lost my business.

Who designs this stuff now GM, Ford?

Honda and acura had problems with the trannys back in 99-01. The accord, ody and some of acura cars. They had fewer problems from 02-early 04, and late 04 and on almost zero failers.

Sounds like your complaint/accusation here is based soley on what you've READ about 2002 Honda/Acura transmissions.
