my odyssey 2003 uses a 225/60/R16 wheel, and would want to install 205/70/R15. the rim is 1 inch smaller in height and width (i think :o). is there any issue that the rim might rub against the mechanical hardware of the brakes and caliper?

I have yet to see anyone fit 15 inch on that year Odyssey. Are you looking to make the switch for winter or year round? Without having an Odyssey in my shop at the moment to check i would suspect that they will not fit.
