well i am not an owner yet. maybe by the end of the week. i made an offer for a 2007 touring with all the gadgets. 18,200 miles for 26k. i am mostly curious about what are the typical problems associated with this car. my brother in law has the exact same van and has had no problems other than the timing belt tensioner going out right after he bought it. would love all the feedback i can get. thanks

Most of the little problems were fixed by 07. You may get a ps whine. Another thing is that the touring from 05-07 comes with pax tires. The tires are not bad but most of the time they wear out fast and cost a nice chunck of change. But you can get a flat tire and drive something like 125 miles going 55 mph on them. So your wife won't have to change a flat tire on the side of the freeway. What most people do when there pax tires wear out is that they change to a whole different rim and tire. Overall the 07 touring is a great ride and is the king of all minivans. What state do you live in? If you live in Canada, the touring model does not come with the pax tires.

I live in California. So to change from the PAX tires the rims have to be changed as well? That sucks. The next set of tired is going to cost alot no matter what then.

Yes the only tire that will fit a pax rim is a pax tire. Most of the time it cost anywhere from 900 dollars to 1300 dollars for a new set of pax tires. For the same money, maybe less, you can get a new set of tires and rims to fit your ody. I would first use your pax tires until they are worn out, then decide what you want to do. There are several people on odyclub.com that sell sets of rims and tires that will fit. Infact I think one of those people are one here too. I guess this should move to a different part of this forum, but can you tell me does the touring model with PAX come with a spare??? If so it may need to be changed to something else to match the DEPAX set of wheels and tires. Sorry I do not know much about minivans. Swore to never own one, but..........

I do not have a touring( I have an ex-l) But the answer is no they do not have a spare. Now from what I have read in other forums is that there is a jack kit inside your ody though. For the spare tire you can just go to your local junkyard and take one out of an ody there. As for never owning a minivan, a lot of people swore they would never get one and then when they finally get one, they wish they would of got one years ago. I always wanted one but the wife thought different. Now that we have one(an 07) she loves it.
