Can I use the original TPMS sensors in a new Acura or other type wheel and save going to the dealership for a re-program? Is it even possible to recover them from the old PAX wheel? My Honda dealership doesn't even know.
Thanks in advance!

I don't believe so. The TPMS operate on a designated frequency that the vehicle is "tuned" to. Changing the TPMS would be like changing the radio station to a channel that is not in the area.

Must you go to the dealer to get new replacement TPMS sensors programmed for the Odyssey?

Yes, you can reuse your original TPMS from your Touring Odyssey or from a 04-08 RL Acura. They both use the same A04 part number.
Most Touring owners decide to replace their TPMS when they DEPAX their Odysseys, and go to a conventional rim and tire combination. Others decide to reuse their TPMS without any issues. If you cut the tire you can remove the sensors with a little effort.
Touring TPMS will reset after a few miles of driving, and tell the onboard computer the new location and all the PSI readings without difficulty.

I recently traded our PAX tires and rims for a set of conventional rubber with new wheels. Much to my extreme dislike, my Honda maintenance guy told me tat the TPMS sensors will not fit anything but a PAX rim...is he blowing smoke up my a$$? The whole Honda crew seems very reluctant to answer any questions about the conversion, maybe due to the lawsuit?
