I really liked the look of the PAX wheels, but unfortunately the costs were simply too high to continue with them. At 36k miles, my PAX tires are shot. I bought aftermarket 18" wheels and new tires from TireRack (just searched using the EX-L model). Here's a pic of my new setup. They aren't as deep looking, but, IMO, they do look good.
Total price was $600 for tires, $630 for wheels, $150 for TPMS, and $100 installation/balancing/etc. at NTB. Honda dealer quoted ~$1300 for the install of new PAX tires on my existing rims. So, I'm a bit higher than just replacing PAX, but you could probably save money by buying 17" wheels and tires and cutting out your old TPMS from the original equipment. But I prefer the look of 18" wheels and wanted to keep my old ones for when I sell it.

235/55R-18 GOODYEAR ASSURANCE COMFORTRED
I like them. They do pretty well in the rain. The wheels feel much lighter than the PAX ones.

Thanks for the reply!
The Goodyears are one of my considerations along with Yokohama Parada spec-x and Kumho solus KH16.
Anyone else out there have any good or bad experience with their tires?
I will not put Michellin tires on any of my vehicles again!

Hi,
I got my rims used from Famman. He has some ads posted from the forum
for replacements using MDX take offs. He supplied me TPMS sensors for less than the dealer and the rims came with the acorn style lugs. I will be having them mounted up as soon as my tires and sensors arrive. I can't wait to see how much less the new wheels and tires weigh compared to the PAX wheels.
I'll post some pix when its all done. I have an '06 touring/ Sage Green.
I only got 27000 miles out of my Michelins, had 2 separate tire failures both on trips away from LA, on Sunday! No Honda dealers open and almost no Michelin
tire shops that could handle PAX. What a pain! I will be joining the class action suit to try and recoup some money back for being forced to take the run flats
without any other option on the Touring.

I've got Yokohama and love them. Michelin weren't bad, but didn't last.

I did something similar, only I opted for the same wheel in a 17" size. Tires were about $95 each, wheels were $120 each, plus I picked up a spare kit for about $200. The dealer wanted $600 per tire to put on new PAX tires. Van handles much better with the lighter hardware at each corner.
What TPMS sensors did you get from Tire Rack? I've gotten a TPMS error since I put the wheels on (I did get the sensors from Tire Rack as well) and I haven't gotten around to figuring out what's up. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

AmazinglySmooth,
By mounting the 18" rims on your Odyssey, have you noticed better handling? Also, did you make any modifications to the springs and shocks to lower the van as well? Lastly, when you made the modifications, was your Odyssey still under warranty? If so, would Honda void your warranty due to the fact that your rims and tires were not OEM?
I have a '06 Odyssey Touring. I need to replace the PAX or do what you did. BTW: the rims look great!
