Hi folks,
New to the forum - looks like some great resources here!

Our '07 Odyssey's (Touring with RES - no Nav) DVD player suddenly gives the message "Loading" and will not eject a disk nor allow one to be loaded... and I can not select the CD player.

I disconnected the positive battery cable for 10 minutes - but this didn't have an impact.

Should I try this again for a longer period or take it to the dealer - it is still under factory warranty.

Thanks...
wayne

There is a similar problem thread listed at the odyclub.com. It appears you have to disconnect the battery overnight. If that does not solve the problem, I guess a dealer visit is in order. I just bought an 09 Odyssey and have the 8 year, 100,000 mile warranty. With all of the electronics in these new vehicles, something is bound to go wrong in 8 years.

Check out www.odyclub.com. They have a lot more information on this subject. Just do a search for DVD problems.

If it's still under warranty I say take it in, let them fix it.

had this same problem on our 'new to us' 2006 that we just purchased -- the dealer wanted to pull the dvd unit and ship it off for repair -- we decided to hold off until the extended warranty was transferred to our name. In the meantime, I did some poking around here and at the odyclub.com forum and decided to take a crack at pulling the fuse and leaving it out for an hour... replaced the fuse, entered the code, and boom- that did it! problem solved -- dvd player working like a charm. :)
