I decided to make a change in my life by buying an 06 Accord for my wife. Her small SUV was totaled a few months ago and we have been looking for more of a "normal" 4-door car. I have been complaining about driving my GMC Safari on long trips for a couple of years, so I researched mini-vans. I settled on the Odyssey, but I soon found out that they are not so "mini". I checked out an 06 Touring model at a dealer. Their price was too high and "firm". The small 2nd row seat was missing - $$$. The "run flat" tires were more than 1/2 worn out - $$$. I wanted an additional 3/36 warranty - $$$.

The salesman kept telling me I should get a quote on a new one. Finally, I agreed to look at a new one. Naturally, he wanted me to consider the EXL-RES for more than I wanted to spend. Instead I picked the more affordable EXL - Dark Cherry with Ivory interior. The dealer came down $4800 off MSRP!!! I couldn't believe it. This is a Major change for me.

I only have 1100 miles on it, but I know it's the most comfortable van I have ever driven. I'm getting 23.4 MPG driving to work, too!

I bought my first two Honda's in one month.
