I just bought new 09 Odyssey and wanted to find out what type and rate of gasoline you guys use?

Well I believe it takes the cheapest(87 octane) and that's what I put in mine.

Does it matter if you put higher octane?

Use 87, it's what it was designed for. I used to put premium in all my cars cause gas companies used to put additives in it not in the lower octane gas. Not anymore, only the octane rating is different. The motor was designed for 87, use it, anything more is a waste.

I don't know about the newer odys(05 and up) but the older ones recommened you to use the high end gas for towing.
