: 08 Odyssey Immobilization system activated?

I have an 08 Odyssey Touring that won't start...

My wife put the key in the car and didn't turn it on (was feeding our daughter in the car), then there were two warnings about the "ATS" system (she said it may have also said ABS), and by the time I came out the van wouldn't start.

When I put a key (any of the keys) in, the "green key" light on the dash blinks, which according to my manual said there is a problem with the Immobilization Anti-theft.

Any thoughts out there? It isn't the battery (even tried to jump it to no avail). When I turn the key, a fast clicking noise is heard but it never tries to turn over.

I guess I can have it towed to the dealer and have them figure it out, but that is a hassle and I was hoping to take care of it today.

Thanks much.

If the Key light does not go off while the key is in the ignition - the immobilzer does not recognize your keys. The immobilizer needs to be looked at or the keys need reprogramming at the dealer.

It is not uncommon for the immobi unit to loose connection with a key(s) code when battery voltage drops below a certain level. the green immobi indicator flashing is a direct indication of this. unfortunately you will need to have it towed to your local dealer and have the keys reprogrammed to the unit. make sure and bring all the keys with you.
