My Wife got a flat (a nail in the tire) and drove on the low tire wiping out the side wall of the oem michelins LX4's. I needed to buy at least 2 tires to replace in pairs. We just turned 32,000 miles on them and the tread was pretty worn, but about 5k mikes maybe still left on them.

The best price to get new michelins was at Costco: with NYS tax, disposal fees and installation was $318 for two tires.

I hated how loud the michelins were on concrete highways, you couldn't hear yourself think. You had to turn up the radio so loud, to drowned out the noise of the tires. I was not crazy about putting michelin's on again, although they were an ok tire.

I read many posts here and on Tirerack & 1010 Tire, on the Yoko's Avid TRZ's and the Kumho KR21's both sized to match the existing 235-65-R16s.
Most reviews on the TRZ's were positive however after a couple thousand miles people commented on how noisy the TRZ's became like the michelins singing on concrete. I could not find any negatives on the KR21's except for a balance issue on one review, which I would chalk up to a bad install or a defective tire, which would easily be fixed.

So I, pulled the trigger on the Kumho KR21's - for all four tires.
I did not my wife and kids riding on 2 good michelins and two poor ones in the coming winter.

NY Discount tire gave me the best deal on the Kumho's and the Yoko's. The Yokos were $12 more a tire, so I went the KR21's based on the reviews and saving $48 plus tax.

Out the door price: with NYS tax, tire disposal fees, mounting and balancing and putting the donut spare back in hiding was $381.
NY Discount tire gave me a 10% discount for paying in cash. Verses the $318 from Costco for only 2 Michelins, going with the KR21's only cost me $63 more for 4 new tires. :D

The Kumhos, also came with 20k mile Road Hazard Warranty: Any flat, blow out of any kind or defect, they will fix or replace for free... Tire rotation with NY Discount is free as well for the life of the tires.
Tires are rated for 85k miles we'll see.

Kumho KR21 are a good looking tire - sporty look, they seem to make the steering more responsive. So far very quiet at highway speeds... Good in the rain so far. Fairly aggressive tread pattern, so it looks like it will be good in the snow.
I'll have to wait for the snow and more miles, and comment again on the KR21's.
Happy so far!!!

We've only had our 2005 EX-L for 3 weeks now and the previous owner had installed the same Kumho KR21 Solus tires. So far, I am very pleased with the tires. I also checked prices and reviews to get an idea how much it will cost me when I need to replace them and was shocked to see how much cheaper they were compared to the Michelins. I'm just trying to figure out why the previous owner installed 225/70/16 tires on it, instead of the regular 235/65/16 size. Nice post!

I agree the Michelins are way too pricey. I was hoping I did not have to get new tires, since our van is leased and we will be returning it in 10 months and did not want to spend the dough. Times are tough.
However with the sidewall of the tire getting ruined as mentioned. We had no choice, but get at least two new michelins or 4 new Kumhos. For the saftey factor alone and the price we went with the Kumho KR21s.

I looked into the size of your tires on this web site: http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html
Tire Size Calculator and the tire is almost the same size; only a little bit bigger, so your odometer and van is actually saving miles or that's the only tire they might of had in stock at the time.

currently i have some Kumho KR21 Solus on another one of my cars.

Its pretty great actually. I bought it online for like 70 bucks i think.

Its handles pretty well, havent really had a chance to drive in rain but over all i think they would be pretty good. Quiet too

I recently relaced our originals on our 2007 with Goodyear Triple tred as recomended by CU and Tire rack(I think) After 9000 we noticed a very unusual wear pattern which caused a rogh ride. the goodyear manager said he had the exact problem on the same model odyssey and recommended going with a goodyear comfort tred as a no cost replacement. We do lots of highway bad weather driving and need a really good all season . Any suggestions. The CU now recommends the Hankook but I haven' tfound any feedback on it on an Odyssey in the snow

As far as I know,Auto steering system includes the following parts: steering wheel, ball joint, Steering Shaft (http://www.gasgoo.com/auto-products/steering-shaft-steering-column-502/),Alternator (http://www.gasgoo.com/auto-products/steering-shaft-steering-column-502/),Steering Column (http://www.gasgoo.com/auto-products/alternator-starter-340/),etc. Above is my understanding of auto systems especially the steering system. If anyone know more, hoping to interact about, Thanks!
