3M product good for paint and headlight

I use 3M Microfinish (made for body shops to rid swirl marks and prepare paint for waxing) on the paint (be sure to wax IMMEDIATELY after cleaning small sections. The oxidized paint is removed and wax prevents paint from oxidizing again (not forever, rewax once in a while).
I also use it on plastic headlight covers. It removes grease and road grime from the plastic. I do flush it well with water during and after cleaning to make it easier to rub out the dirt.

Never use dishwasher liquid as it has amonia in it and will cause microscopic fissions in the surface of the plastic.
