Just picked up my 2009 Odyssey EX-L and wanted to mount an aftermarket GPS such as one by Garmin. I don't want to use the suction cup mount and I do not want to use that bean bag type of thing. I found a bracket by PanaVise (http://www.overdriveelectronics.com/product/panavise-indash-vehicle-mount-for-2005-07-honda-odyssey-75117-605-25686/). Has anyone used this bracket before or have any pictures or DIY guide on how well it holds.

Thanks in Advance..

don't like GPS so much, the last one on my previous honda always lead me to a longer way.

I know you said you did not desire to use the suction cup, however I mounted a flat piece of plastic into an old plastic mug, then I can use the suction base in any cup holder. Since I use my GPS in several cars, this allows me to move it easily as well as hide it from being stolen.

I just bought a new Odyssey EXL(Dark Cherry with Ivory interior), and I really like the idea of the cup holder GPS mount. I do have a question, though. I have a Garmin 755 GPS, and I'm wondering if it will have access to enough of the satellites to work well if it were placed in the cup holders between the front seats? I always thought it would have to be placed high on the dash to work well.

I had a Garmin 755WT mounted near the bottom cup holders and the reception worked just fine.
