Looking for input on installing new receiver in 2009 Honda Odyssey EX.
Hey guys, hoping for some advice from literally anyone who knows more about cars than I do. I have an old 2009 Honda Odyssey EX (no navigation) that I'm looking to breathe a little new life into by installing a new touchscreen receiver with CarPlay. I'd like to retain the steering wheel controls (volume, cruise control, etc), and more importantly the factory radio.
I'm looking at a few receivers that advertise SiriusXM, but nothing about the original basic radio that came with the car. Is there something I have to look out for when choosing a new receiver in order to ensure that I retain the radio? I'm looking at CrutchField and most if not all of the receivers that support the 2009 Odyssey don't list the option of retaining the cars built-in satellite radio if it was originally equipped. Does that mean I'll lose the basic radio that came with the car, or does that just mean no SiriusXM (which I don't believe the car had to begin with)?
